Submissions close 8th September 2024
This year's rules and regulations:
- Candidates may submit nominations for any of the VOX Awards categories. However, you are limited to one submission per category.
- Please ensure that nominations are submitted anonymously - no slating. This will assist in anonymity to the judging panel. Please note that any entries submitted that are not anonymous will automatically be rejected regardless of quality!
- All awards are open to residents of the UK only (with a permanent address) or British voice artists working abroad who can prove they have a British passport at the time of voting.
- The date range of performances that may be submitted for consideration are between November 2023 - 31st August 2024.
- No direct (permanent) employees or their family members of Gravy For The Brain Ltd or VOX may submit themselves for awards consideration. Contract staff are excluded and may enter.
- Awards listed as Male awards must only be entered by actors who identify as male, and Female awards must only be entered by actors who identify as female.
- The judges decision on voting is final and will be presented at the VOX Awards 2024 ceremony.
- Demo reels are not allowed to be entered - entries must consist of actual work in that category, recorded, created or broadcast within the date-range. Any demo material will be removed from consideration. However, compilations of work are allowed.
- Please do not re-submit work that you have submitted from previous years which are updates of the originals - for example, re-tagged adverts.
- Please do not cheat or break any of these rules. If candidates are found to be cheating, or have cheated, they will be disqualified and if this is after the event, may have their award revoked!
How Are The VOX Awards Judged?
Firstly: Your judging panel remains a closely guarded secret until the awards ceremony. This is so that no potential 'friendship' voting can take place, and no entrants can ask industry friends or colleagues to vote for them. Suffice it to say that the judging panel is comprised of a group of relevant industry professionals at the top of their game.
Secondly: All judging takes place individually and with no potential to see other judges' scores. This is so that no 'historical' voting can take place, where a judge's score can be affected by seeing another judges high, or low score.
Thirdly: None of our judges know who the other judges are. This is done to stop any 'collusion' voting, so judges can't rig votes, nor discuss nominees with other judges.
Why are we judging like this? Awards are only worth something if they are earned by their merits and have no possibility of corruption. We have provided a fair judging platform which will allow the VOX Awards to be without question!
